France escapes recession with 0.1% GDP rise in third quarter (by Steve Goldstein)

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- France barely escaped recession in the third quarter, with the euro-zone's second-largest economy growing 0.1% compared to the second quarter. Household expenditure rose slightly and exports rose. France's economy fell 0.3% in the second quarter, INSEE said.
