Euro-zone June annual CPI accelerates to 4% rise (by William L. Watts)

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Consumer price inflation across the 15-nation euro zone rose at a monthly pace of 0.4% in June, for an annual rise of 4%, Eurostat reported Wednesday. The annual rate is more than twice the European Central Bank's target of just below 2%. The jump was in line with market expectations. Consumer inflation rose at an annual rate of 3.7% in May.
