BOE leaves key lending rate unchanged at 0.5% (by William L. Watts)

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee on Thursday left its key lending rate unchanged at a record low 0.5%. The central bank also left its 200 billion pound ($301.3 billion) asset-purchase program on hold. The program was paused in February. Both decisions were widely expected.
